My Dad gave me this the last time I saw him:

He'd been cleaning out his garage and found it in a bottom drawer. Lalande's was a grocery store up the street where we lived in Pierrefonds. He said in November 1978 he took it down and put it away because that was when time stopped.

There could be nothing worse than losing one's child. This has great significance to your father. It is a strong and meaningful offering to his son who has given it his all for his sister and her family.

following it all

Wow! What a heavy statement that makes!
When my brother died I thought it was my parents who suffered most.
I'm sorry they were no longer living when I finally had the guts to write about it.
