Well I can tell you I spent two summers tree planting in Northern Ontario, and you don't just don't quit that job and walk out of the bush on your own. There are too many dangers; bears, heat exhaustion, other elements. Many a tree planter did quit when I was doing it; they were all driven to the local train station accompanied by the company foreman.
